1. Universal Studios – Not just a studio tour, there is plenty to do and see at Universal. Universal has a full theme park as well as Citywalk, which is an entertainment, dining and shopping Promenade. 2. Hollywood Walk of Fame & Chinese Theater – A must-see when in Hollywood. The Chinese Theater features the handprints of top stars The easiest way to visit is to park at the Hollywood & Highland Center mall. Click here for map. 3. Ventura Boulevard – This famous street in the San Fernando Valley is close to the wedding area and has a large selection of great restaurants. Click here for map.
4. “The Americana” and “Grove” Malls – Outside malls that are great to “Get your shop on”. The Americana is directly across from our reception hall in Glendale. The Grove is in Hollywood next to CBS Studios. Click here for map to The Grove.
5. Santa Monica – A visit or stay in this beach city is highly recommended! Features a famous boardwalk as wall as the Santa Monica promenade. Click here for map.
6. Beverly Hills / Rodeo Drive – Featuring the top of luxury and service. Top brands, restaurants, and hotels. Click here for map. Click here for info on the official Beverly Hills Trolley Tour.
7. The Sunset Strip – Featuring the most famous nightclubs in Los Angeles. Click here for map.
8. LA Zoo and Griffith Park – A fun day can be spent at these two attractions which are next to each other. Griffith Park features the famous Observatory, which has free admission. There are also many other things to do in the park itself (click here for more info). The LA Zoo opens at 10 AM and is recommended to visit before the observatory and park. Click here for map.
9. Catalina Island – An incredible place to visit that will seem like you are a world away, yet only 45 minutes boat ride from Los Angeles. Most of Catalina Island is a nature preserve. Officially there are no cars there, and the hub of activity there for fun is in Avalon. Very quaint and quiet, a fun beach community. You will want to go out on boat tours, and island tours where Bison roam free! Also, incredible snorkeling and scuba. You will need to take a ferry there – recommend a long day there at minimum, highly recommend an overnight stay. Click here for map.
10. Disneyland – Disneyland itself needs no introduction, but also features “The California Adventure” theme park. About 1 hour south from the wedding area. Click here for map.
Also of note: San Diego is about a 2.5 hour drive south from the wedding area (and 1.5 hrs from Disney), San Francisco is a 5-6 hour drive north (or 1 hr flight), and Las Vegas is a 5 hour drive east.
